Vimentin
Vimentin is a primitive intermediate filament of 57KD and is co-expressed in association with keratin in many epithelial cells and tumors. It is expressed in normal mesenchymal cells and tumors of their origin. Vimentin is mainly used to mark malignant tumors of mesenchymal origin, such as myogenic tumors, soft connective tissue tumors and bone tumors. It is of important reference significance for differential diagnosis of carcinoma and sarcoma, malignant melanoma and poorly differentiated carcinoma, undifferentiated carcinoma and lymphoma.
